Accessibility
Many people who use this site are older or disabled, so it is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- Everything works with a keyboard alone.
- Questions use standard form controls and clear labels, so screen readers announce them properly.
- Text is large by default, and the buttons at the top of the planner make it larger or smaller.
- Colours are chosen for strong contrast, and nothing relies on colour alone. The site always uses light colours, whatever your device's dark-mode setting.
- Your plan is a normal web page first. Printing or saving it as a PDF uses your browser, so it stays readable by assistive technology.
- Animation is turned off if your device asks for reduced motion.
What we have not finished
- We have not yet had this site tested by a wide range of people who use screen readers or other assistive technology. If something does not work for you, please tell us at hello@afternormal.co and we will fix it.
- We plan to offer large-print and screen-reader-friendly versions of our guides.
